I am always in awe how each person can be so many different facets of good and evil.
No person is ever all good or all bad, after all that would make avoiding them a lot easier. So how do you judge whether someone is worth your time and effort or better left alone and avoided like a plague?
Do you look at all the times they have hurt you? And do you measure that against the time they have been kind? Is there really an effective benchmark to tell you one way or another?
Do you trust your gut instinct? Or do you go by evidence or perhaps even lack of evidence to the contrary?
Sometimes I wish people were a bit like that old bat I am unfortunately linked with, but that's pretty easy to tell that she must be one of the Devil's generals. I knew that since I was 6. The broomstick was a dead giveaway.
But no, the rest of the world... that's a harder conundrum. Should you continue to believe the good in people or do you walk away when you have been let down so many times?
Do you DO something or let it be because maybe... just this once, you are not meant to do anything?
Do you leave it up to fate or do you do your best?
God I just need a sign.
