Don't just sit there, ask me. Indulge me, bundles of trivialities. Disguised frivolousness. Sometimes we both need someone to save us. To cure us. To stave off the madness, for just one more day.
The last of the romantics. There are no more hands to win, no towers to climb. But let's take turns anyway, to play the damsels in distress. Because pragmatism kills the heart. So save my life.
Close your eyes and I will close mine too. Pictures of castles in the sky. Then heaven send us a staircase. One in a billion but I have come to terms with those odds.
Just keep unhappiness at bay, for just one day. Smile and melt all these confusions. I'm just trying to make something that feels right last.
