My Malay Dilemma

Those who know me will clearly attest to the fact that my attempts to reconnect to elements of my race has always been done half-heartedly. It's not that I am ashamed of it, it's simply I'm not very good at it. Maybe it's the born after independence syndrome. I see no or little distinction in being Malaysian and Malay. But this post is not a political one. It is merely to note a surprising fact. I came across this Malay song well technically it's Indonesian Malay but let's not be pedantic about these things. How and where I got it is not important but the fact that such a simple song could be so endearing to me from the first play is a wonder. Now I cannot stop singing it. But I get a bit confused cause it's a duet and everytime there's more than one singer I try and sing all the parts which always ends up in disaster. I wish I could listen to it on my Ipod on my way to work tomorrow but I accidently broke it. Acapella anyone?
